The WB TET 2022 notification has been released for the 2022
A West Bengal TET exam will be conducted for candidates who wish to teach in grades 1 to 5 at various Government Primary Schools/Basic Primary Schools in West Bengal. The examination will be conducted on the same day throughout the state, i.e. 11/12/22. The eligibility criteria for WB TET 2022 are as follows
There are three categories of eligibility for the upcoming exam:
- Academic Eligibility
- Age Criteria
West Bengal TET Primary 2022 Academic Eligibility
Candidates must possess one of the following academic qualifications to qualify for the WB Teacher Eligibility Test for Primary Teachers:
- A diploma in elementary education (minimum 50% UR, 45% SC, ST, OBC A, OBC B, EC, ESM, PH, DH) plus a senior secondary education degree (minimum 50% UR, 45% SC, ST, OBC A, OBC B, EC, ESM, PH, DH)
- A senior secondary education/equivalent (at least 50% for UR, 45% for SC, ST, OBC A, OBC B, EC, ESM, PH, DH) + a bachelor’s degree in education.
- (Not less than 50% for UR, 45% for SC, ST, OBC A, OBC B, EC, ESM, PH, DH) + Diploma in Special Education (affiliated with RCI)
- B.Ed. + graduation degree (not less than 50%)
- A candidate should be able to teach Nepali/ Hindi/ Bengali/ Urdu/ Santhali/ Oriya/ Telugu while English will remain the second language.
Age Criteria
According to previous years’ records, candidates should be between 18 and 40 years of age to be eligible for the exam. WBBPE has not yet announced the age limit details for the 2022 exam. As soon as the information becomes available, we will update this post.
